Communal dining, redefined.

What is Pare?

When it comes to celebrating an important event with friends, family and colleagues, nothing quite helps to commemorate the occasion like a great meal. Especially when it’s accompanied by a one-of-a-kind experience.

Introducing Pare (pronounced pair): the ultimate, experiential communal dinner. A five-course, plant-based, moveable feast designed to make specials occasions, well, more special.

Created and hosted by longtime L.A. restaurant manager Danny Lane, Pare features at each of its dinners one of L.A.’s top plant-based chefs. From those you know to those you need to know. Each present five imaginative courses, expertly paired with a flight of four wines (spirits, ales or cocktails) for an experience that engages. On the plate. In the glass. AND at the table, where each dish is presented and personally delivered to the table by the evening’s featured chef.

Their table-side descriptions of the ingredients used, inspirations behind and suggested pairings for each course brings it all to life, and affords chefs and guests the chance to uniquely connect. And because each course is kept secret prior to being served, a tinge of suspense fills the air from start to finish.

After describing each course, chefs deliver each plate down the the table for all to see, atop a series of wooden planks that smoothly glide along a table-long, hand crafted, wooden rail. Pare’s signature Plank & Rail style of service connects all at table. Intimately, interactively and imaginatively. As does Pare’s ten pound cowbell (allegedly stolen from a brothel in Texas), the two foot vintage hourglass that serves as the ultimate ice breaker, the flight boxes with grab-and-go handles, musical chair interludes, sparkler dessert show, table-side magic and more.

Here’s to all of the elements pairing together. And to making your next special occasion, a special experience.

LA-Based Chefs

Honored, privileged and grateful doesn’t begin to express the way we feel about our collaborations with some of L.A.’s most talented plant-based chefs.

Not just the widely-known and widely celebrated but the chefs blazing trails off the beaten track. Turning otherwise hole in the wall places and spaces into culinary scenes and destinations. The faces and forces behind the best plant-based mom and pop restaurants, food trucks, catering companies and so on.

Plant-Based Dishes

Equally fortunate are we to have them present five plant-based courses, whose flavor-forward dishes are are equally forward thinking both for our bodies and the planet.

Gourmet plant-based cuisine including Sushi, Italian, Indian, Thai, Raw and ever-evolving fusions never tasted, paired or presented so well. Nor were they ever delivered in such an up-close-and-personal manner by the taste makers themselves. The result? An experience at the table that’s as engaging as the flavors on the plate.

Bon appétit.

Plant-Based Pairings

Featuring the finest wines and spirits is one thing. Featuring the finest ones you’ve never heard of is another thing. Pairing either of the above in ways that enhance the flavors of plant-based food, all in a uniquely designed flight package, well that’s Pare’s thing.

Introducing an entirely new flight pairing experience. One that showcases brands you know and brands you need to know in ways that enlighten, excite and exemplify how amazingly well wine, beer, spirits and cocktails pair with plant-based food. Better, we argue, than those of cheese and meat-based dishes. Yeah, we said it.

All goes down in four, three and a half ounce wine glasses inside hand-crafted wooden boxes enclosed with grab-and-go handles (we’ll explain later). The result? Something special.

Cheers.
